Skillard’s ZCON Takeaway: Seeing the Builds Behind the Parts

Skillard returned from the 39th ZCON in Phoenix with fresh inspiration after seeing how owners put its parts to work, the company said in its October 1 newsletter.
The team thanked host club Desert Z Association and the ZCON organizers, highlighting the enthusiasts who stopped to talk and share their builds. Those encounters offered something a shipped order cannot: a chance to see the finished installation, hear why an owner chose a component and understand the problem it helped solve.
That offers a useful perspective on what a convention contributes to the aftermarket. Bringing owners and manufacturers together lets the people making components see how they fit into someone’s larger vision—and hear directly about the challenges behind a build.

Skillard says it is back in the shop with ideas and inspiration for new parts. The newsletter does not announce a specific product or provide specifications, pricing or a release date.
For the Z community, the lasting value is that exchange of experience. The cars on display can give the people building parts something to think about long after everyone heads home.
